I am so glad that you have taken the time to seek support in overcoming the obstacles in your life. I know finding a new therapist can be a difficult journey, but I assure you, it is worth it.
Do you avoid taking chances in your life, career, or relationships due to fears of not being good enough? Do you feel controlled by feelings of anxiety, guilt, shame, and worthlessness? Or perhaps you've recently experienced an event so overwhelming that it significantly altered your sense of safety? I provide a space in which you can feel safe exploring the parts of you that carry these wounds, so we can work with them to release whatever past traumas they might be carrying. Through our work together, I want to support you in feeling empowered, unburdened by the past, and capable of creating the life you want to live.
I provide trauma-informed treatment to help you identify and process past challenges that may be impeding movement in your life. I teach useful skills that can help you manage difficult emotions, regulate behaviors, and improve relationships. I have experience working with a variety of needs, including depression, anxiety, complex trauma, relationship challenges, grief, suicidality, self-injury, loneliness, and an overall lack of fulfillment.
The primariy modalities I use in session are Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). These are both evidence-based trauma-informed treatments designed to help alleviate symptoms resulting from traumatic events, both acute (ex: single incident traumas including car accidents, assaults, birth) and chronic (ex: on-going childhood abuse, neglect, etc). If you have questions about either of these modalities, please feel free to reach out, I'd love to chat with you about them to see if they could be a good fit for your needs!
